At the end of the day, a large part of the issue can stem from your nerves. Relaxation techniques can put you in the right mindset to let go of nerves and general feelings of being unwell. Meditation can really go a long way and can heavily impact multiple areas of your life. The common breathing techniques you learn to meditate with are scientifically proven to calm you down, you can give these a try:

1. Rhythmic breathing. It focuses your breathing into a predetermined rhythm, whether in time with an app or metronome, you’ll almost immediately notice the impact. When your breathing is rapid it’s also shallow, meaning you aren’t getting the oxygen your body needs which isn’t helpful. Slow down your breathing as best you can, you can even try it on a counting system: a good rule of thumb is equal in equal out, count your inward breath over five seconds, and then exhale over five seconds. Repeatedly breathing in this rhythm will slow down your heart rate which will allow you to reach a sense of calm quicker.
